Self-operated pressure regulators
2357-11 - Pressure regulators
The Type 2357-11 self-operated pressure reducing regulator or pressure build-up regulator is a small size regulator designed to work for special applications. The Series 2357 pressure regulators are especially designed for the conditions in cryogenic service. These regulators can also be used for gases, liquids and vapors under other operating conditions. A pressure reducing valve is used for controlling the downstream pressure (p2) to an adjusted set point.
The design of a pressure reducing regulator valve is to close when the downstream pressure rises above a set value.
In a pressure buildup regulator, upstream pressure is transmitted to the operating diaphragm. The valve opens when the upstream pressure drops. The direction of flow runs from port B to port A.
