Self-operated pressure regulators

2357-2/-7 - Excess pressure valve

2357-2/-7

The Type 2357-2 and 2357-7 self-operated excess pressure regulator is a small size regulator designed to work for special applications. The Series 2357 pressure regulators are especially designed for the conditions in cryogenic service. These regulators can also be used for gases, liquids and vapors under other operating conditions. An excess pressure regulator valve is used for controlling the upstream pressure (p1) to an adjusted set point.

The design of an excess pressure regulator valve is to open when the upstream pressure rises above a set value.
