23e - PTFE-lined rotary plug control valve
The Pfeiffer 23e PTFE-lined rotary plug valve is designed for general service applications up to the limits of the ANSI 150 pressure class rating. These general service applications focus on extremely corrosive media. The Pfeiffer 23e design increases flow capacity but also reduces the pressure recovery factor, making the design more susceptible to cavitation, flashing, and flow noise generation. The design allows for bi-directional flow, where the preferred direction for control valve applications pushes the plug out of seat, while the preferred direction for shut-off applications pushes the plug into seat. The breakaway torque for the flow pushing the plug out of seat is much less than that for the flow pushing the plug into seat.
They can be assembled with a pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic actuator also offered by the SAMSON group to complete the construction of the control valve. These control valves are designed according to the modular assembly principle.
